Description:
Verde Oliva Inn is situated in the middle of a small farm in the heart of Coquimbito, Maipú, right by the wine and olive route and 16km from the city center of Mendoza.
This house is intended to reflect the vivid expression of the place where Coquimbito is located. We live in this enchanted spot situated in the province of Mendoza all year long; and we expect our guests to feel as delighted to be here as we do.
What we try to achieve is that all the details relate to the place in complete harmony and we went from preserving a hundred-year-old terebinth to finding the method of placing value on the old construction.
Don David Cavagnaro, pioneer of the area, brought olive seedlings from Italy. These seedlings are today the old trees that give leit motiv to this house.
The Malbec vineyards, the one-hundred-year-old olive grove, the park and the setting of the snow-capped Andes create a quiet and private atmosphere that invites us to fill our souls with joy.
The Inn is an old construction that dates back to the 19th century. It was carefully re-constructed to preserve the quality of the material and the original atmosphere of the place. Ever since its creation, the house was destined for the people in charge of the Don Ángel Cavagnaro`s farm. The main house – one of the most traditional in the area – is located next to the Inn. Its high ceilings of an English style are central to the setting and so is the enormous 300-year-old terebinth.
The design of the inn preserves and combines the features of a typical country house in Mendoza – it includes a large gallery – with the safety and comfort of a modern hotel. Its three bedrooms with private bathrooms invite us to rest away from the hustle and bustle of the city and in the good company of birds singing.
The shared areas of Verde Oliva are warm and enjoyable; they invite us to spend quality time without setting limits. At the heart of the house you can find a large room that would be the ideal complement for a special afternoon devoted to exploring the library of the inn, which is, of course, fully equipped with books on wine and oil production in Mendoza, geography and history of the region, tourism and many more titles by local authors.
At the gallery, you can have a glass of wine and a selection of cheeses at dusk while admiring the vineyards, the olive trees and beyond that the snow-capped hills.
The couches of the gallery are in direct competition with the pool of the inn. Located on a high level among the lines of Malbec, this spot is well worth spending time at. Even when it is midwinter, it is pleasurable to have something to drink in this special place and lose yourself in the amazing view of Mendoza’s geography.
The vineyards and the olive production of this property are used to make Malbec wine and olive oil. Besides, they are the raw material with which exclusive cosmetic products are produced. Our visitors are welcome to try and enjoy the relaxing olive and wine therapy massages in the privacy of their rooms as well as outdoors where they can appreciate nature during warm days.
